Focusing exclusively on odd-metered music, MOVE vol2 offers a wide range of meters (counts) and speeds that will energize your choreography and teaching. Never before has there been a collection of odd-metered music designed specifically for the dance studio; Chris Cawthray draws on close to two decades of experience as an accompanist and composer for dance to deliver a collection of music that is inspiring, entertaining, and challenging! The pieces feature a vocal "count-in" of each meter, and each piece remains strict to those counts. Regular visitors to M4M may have noticed that we are currently out-of-stock on a variety of items. Some of the titles we are only distributors for, so we are at the mercy of when our suppliers can ship stock to us; for our self-produced titles, we are in the midst of a re-design on some products, and hope to re-launch them in the new year.

In the meantime, there's still many great titles in the Golden Beams and american clave catalogues.

musicformovement is pleased to announce that they will be switching all payment transactions to the PayPal service. Any currently in-stock items @ M4M will now show an "Add to Cart" button as opposed to the previous "BUY" button. These new "Add to Cart" buttons will process your orders through PayPal. Any items currently out-of-stock will still use a "BUY" button and when clicked, inform you that the item is currently back-ordered.

The switch to PayPal allows more flexibility with regards to payment methods for customers, and also provides M4M with a variety of behind-the-scenes tools that will allows us to bring more new products and services to the site. There's some big changes coming to M4M, and the switch to PayPal will help make these new features (soon to come) better than ever.

While the payment processing is changing, M4M's same quick and personal service for the fulfilling of orders remains intact, and we look forward to sending more great music your way in the near future.

After a few test-looks, we're going to stay on course with the current design and make some minor changes. Our web-focus for the next little while is going to be getting the word out about RSS. (If you're reading this blog, you may already be using it). With RSS readers, our clients will be able to stay up to date without getting emails from us, which means we can post more news more often at the blog. The RSS feed for this blog is here, and to find out what RSS is and how to use it on your computer, we suggest Googling RSS and going from there.

SITE CHANGES continued

We're in the midst of what has turned out to be a major re-design of the M4M site. The new look is going to be pretty minimalist, but will result in a clearer presentation of our products and (hopefully) make things easier for the visitor. The hope is that the blog (what you are reading now) will become vital to the site, as more customers adopt RSS newsreaders we'll be able to stay in touch that way, instead of filling up email Inboxes (though, to be fair, we've kept mass-emailing to a minimum...).

I'm looking forward to the new site. It needs a few more tweaks, and I want to finalize the integration of our new partner-artist, and then launch it all together (expect an email. :)). If you're not on our email list, sign up!

We're set to release move: volume 3 this week! It is actually coming out before volume 2, but let's not get too worried. :)

move3 is a CD of music designed for Ballet class (barre and centre) performed by pianist Erik Geddis. It contains over 30 tracks ranging from traditional European folk music, classical selections (Chopin, Strauss), and more contemporary works by Gershwin, Bernstein; Disney favourites, and original music by Mr. Geddis. Please check the MOVE page at the site later this week for pricing and to order!

n.b. this CD has been priced a bit higher than move1 for the reason that due to the material included, various releases and royalties have to be obtained and paid to publish this CD, as such, the price-per-disc is higher than move1 or move2 because they contain all-original works by the artist.

To see it go here. And I recommend getting Kip's "Exotica" while you're there. It's got wonderful performances by Jack Bruce, Leo Nocentelli, and Don Pullen (to name a few), it's a must-have.
