MOVE 2 is RELEASED!!!!!!!
It is with great pleasure that we announce the release of Chris Cawthray's long-awaited follow-up to his MOVE collection of music for dance:
MOVE vol2: Odd Times is a unique and much needed resource for dancers, teachers and choreographers. Focusing exclusively on odd-metered music, MOVE vol2 offers a wide range of meters (counts) and speeds that will energize your choreography and teaching. Never before has there been a collection of odd-metered music designed specifically for the dance studio; Chris Cawthray draws on close to two decades of experience as an accompanist and composer for dance to deliver a collection of music that is inspiring, entertaining, and challenging! The pieces feature a vocal "count-in" of each meter, and each piece remains strict to those counts. Not only will these pieces provide textural and rhythmic inspiration to choreography, improvisation and technique exercises, but they can also serve as a rock-solid resource for teachers to bring their students beyond traditional meters and counting.
MOVE 2 will be available beginning Feb14 at iTunes worldwide, and soon thereafter at emusic.com, Amazon.com mp3, Rhapsody. CD copies will be available by special order direct from Chris Cawthray.

With such a great response, talk of MOVEvol.2 has now re-started. The next collection may be a mini-set of pieces composed in "odd meters"; 5s, 7s, 9s, etc. Look for it in 2010!
